Impostor Syndrome
April 17, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In this session, we’ll discuss imposter syndrome, which is often defined as feelings of inferiority or fraudulence typically felt by high achievers. While first identified in women, these feelings are pervasive in STEM and can affect many groups. We will present data about how feelings related to imposter syndrome compare across genders, ethnicities, and career stages, have activities and discussion about feelings of imposter syndrome, and discuss some strategies for addressing it.
We’ll be discussing this article: https://www.emeraldinsight.com/doi/abs/10.1108/SGPE-D-18-00014
Hope to see you there!
